Kia Ora.
Welcome to Waitoriki School community.
Waitōriki School is a small, rural school with a tight-knit community, where teachers and staff know each student well and are invested in their success.
At Waitōriki School, students work collaboratively across three learning spaces, Kauri, Kowhai, and Totara, named after mature trees in the school grounds. Our school's emphasis on environmental stewardship is evident in our commitment to the Enviroschools program, where we achieved the Green Gold standard in August 2022. We have also received a Taranaki Regional Council Environmental Award on 2 occasions. Developing the Key Competencies, and learning through STEAM ( Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths), and play/inquiry based learning feature strongly at Waitōriki School.
By sending your child to Waitoriki School, you can be confident that they will receive a high-quality education that prioritizes collaborative learning, environmental stewardship, student equity and excellence, and a strong sense of community.
Our school prides itself for our friendly whanau atmosphere and our holistic approach to education. We trust your association with our school will be a long and happy one.
Welcome to the 2024 school year.
This year has begun full of wonderful optimism for what the year ahead can bring. This year we welcome Ms Jones back into the classroom after 3 years of being a non-teaching principal. The rest of our staff remain stable. This year brings exciting changes from the curriculum refresh into our teaching and learning.
We encourage our school families to keep an eye out for updates on our school calendar and school Facebook page,
